2026 Wrestling National Duals

Grand Valley State University placed fourth in the 2026 National Duals.

Highlights:

Sage Mortimer (117 lbs) — Pinned Iowa’s Isabella Gonzales in just 37 seconds. Also defeated #2-ranked Yu Sakamoto (McKendree) and named top-ranked individual in her weight class.

Katie Lange (138 lbs) — Pinned Iowa’s Lily Luft and finished the event as the top-ranked individual in her weight class.

North Central Women’s Wrestling upset undefeated Iowa at the 2026 National Duals for the first national dual win in program history.

Top Ranked individuals: (110lbs) Kaelani Shufeldt, (124 lbs) Sara Sterner, and (207 lbs) Shenita Lawson

Iowa women’s wrestling took third at the 2026 National Duals, falling to an upset loss despite bringing an undefeated dual record into the tournament.
